Readers' Choice: Silver Diner

In a close race to crown Laurel's best breakfast spot, Silver Diner emerges victorious.

 

If the way to the heart is through the stomach, then our Patch readers have found the best place to grab a bite for breakfast.

In our inaugural "Best of Patch" contest, 17 voters cast their ballots for the restaurant that was best suited for breakfast.

And the winner is:The Silver Diner.

Receiving 17 votes in the contest, the casual dining restaurant offers breakfast and lunch Monday through Sunday.

Store manager Duyen Luong said that great food and service propelled the restaurant to its win.

"I feel great," she said. "I think we have very awesome food. We have a great service." 

You can find the menu for each event posted on their website.

Bob Evans Restaurant received 17 votes in the "Best of" contest, a tie broken by reader comments and the editorial board.Tastee Diner followed close behind with 15 votes. Check out the poll below to see all of the votes.

Next week, Patch is looking for the "Best in Gyms." The voting begins at 9 a.m. on Monday.
