A man serving a sentence for manslaughter walked off a road crew along Route 197, authorities said.
Police said they are searching for a Baltimore man who was serving a 10-year sentence on a manslaughter charge and walked off a road crew Monday morning in South Laurel.
According to The Washington Post, Conrad Thames, 27, of Baltimore, was part of a work crew along Route 197 near Muirkirk Road when he walked away from the group around 11 a.m. Monday. He hasn’t been seen since, authorities said.
The Post reports that Thames pleaded guilty to manslaughter and a related gun charge in 2003 from a case in Baltimore. He was subsequently sentenced to 10 years.
