Although Saturday will bring more than 50 bands and a bunch of vendors to Ellicott City Fall Fest and the Main Street Music Festival, there's no way you will be able to see everything, so here are some of the must-see acts throughout the day.

Jeni Porter, the event manager for the Ellicott City Business Association, recommended three of the bands playing on the outside stages throughout downtown, and organizers of the indoor entertainment said two acts are must-see.

"I love all of these guys so much–they've been such huge supporters of our town," Porter told Patch.

Dirty Secret - Heavy Seas Stage 4:30-6:30 p.m.

Porter said the dueling guitars of Dirty Secret will be an exciting show of rock and blues. The Howard County band describes itself as having an Allman Brothers instrumental sound with vocals comparable to Janis Joplin.

"You kind of get mesmerized as you watch them," Porter said.

Root Three - Heavy Seas Stage 12-1:45 p.m.

Consisting of only three members, Root Three mixes the unique sound of guitar, drums and sousaphone into a stripped down blend of funk and jazz instrumentals.

"It's pretty incredible to watch and listen to," said Porter.

Kelsey Abbott - Main Stage 12-12:30 p.m.

A 13-year-old country songwriter, Kelsey Abbott will show off some of her skills as a singer-songwriter in the opening act on the main stage. Abbott will be taking her skills along to a Kellie Pickler concert later this year, where she will sing the National Anthem.

Sons of the Radio - Diamondback Tavern 5:30-6 p.m.

The Baltimore-based rock band Sons of the Radio will bring their talents to the Diamondback Tavern, as they work on their second album.

Victims of Experience - Diamondback Tavern 2:30-3 p.m.

The female-fronted Victims of Experience will show their rock skills in the Diamondback Tavern.

What about Soul Island Rebels. Seems to me the Rebels should be on any must see list for the festival. Playing 5:00 to 7:00 PM on the Ellicott Mills stage.

While my comment can't be deemed objective (I'm in the band), I do think you will enjoy our music. Main Stage at 5:00 PM to close out the festival. www.facebook.com/SoulIslandRebels

Thanks, David! Yes, I was hoping people would leave comments with other recommendations. There are so many great bands, so I'm hoping we can offer suggestions and help people choose. What sort of music do the Soul Island Rebels play?

@Lisa - Blues based Funk Rock is the way I usually describe us. We play a lot of original music and could probably fit in the jam band genre. Please come out. This is a link to a few videos my daughter took at a recent show we did at 8x10 in Baltimore. http://www.youtube.com/user/dpratt1013/videos?flow=grid&view=0

Not very good quality audio/video, but I think you get the general idea. Thanks for your question.

DirtySecret is a serious "must see", coming off a triumphant show at the National Harbor last Sunday, they were very impressive. Song selection and groove. One if the best classic rock acts I have seen in a long long time.

And let's not forget to mention Bendt Fendyr. Yes I'm in the band. Bendt Fendyr brings an eclectic mix of Classic Rock and Rockabilly to the Main Stage at 12:30. Young Kelsey Abbott, who opens the show at noon, will be joining us for several songs during our set. BF's mix of soaring vocal harmonies, electric guitar, and driving drum rhythms is always an EC favorite.
