House Fire Breaks Out In Laurel

No injuries reported in morning blaze.

A family is displaced in South Laurel today because of a house fire , according to Prince George's County Fire/EMS.

The fire happened along the 13200 block of Claxton Drive in a one-story home, according to officials. The blaze began in a bedroom but eventually spread, producing heavy smoke, according to Mark Brady, a spokesman for Fire/EMS. It took 25 firefighters 10 minutes to control the fire, he said.

No injuries were reported and preliminairy cost of the fire is estimated to be $15,000, said Brady. The cause of the fire has not been released by investigators.
