Howard County Schools Get Thai Visitors
Students and faculty will have some visitors from overseas Tuesday and Wednesday.
Nine members of the Ministry of Education for Thailand are visiting Howard County school facilities on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The delegation of supervisors are conducting a study of the school system's art and social studies programs as part of a tour through Maryland, according to a press release from HCPSS.
Program coordinators for the Maryland State Department of Education welcomed the delegation on Monday. After the delegation exchanges gifts and presentations with Superintendent Renee Foose and HCPSS supervisors on Tuesday, they will travel to Towson University for a luncheon with Nancy Grasmick, former Maryland State Superintendent of Schools.
The delegation returns to Howard County on Wednesday when they visit Howard High School and Ellicott Mills Middle School.
