Howdy!
Yee-haa! My name is Lonestar and boy am I just thrilled to meet you! This cowboy is a 10 week old bundle of pure energy. I’m a puppy so that means I love to play, play, play.
The highlight of my day is meeting new people and I have been known to cry when my new best friends put me down. That probably explains why I’m not alone in any of the pictures.
How did I get to be such a handsome young chap? You should see my mommy Dallas – she is a stunning brindle coat boxer. My poor mommy came into the shelter only a few days before giving birth. Everyone was surprised when one adorable little pup popped out. Needless to say, I instantly became the lone-star of the shelter!
Get it? Ha ha.
I hopefully won’t be here long, so hop on your horse and head on down to Small Miracles right now!
Small Miracles Cat Rescue is a nonprofit, no-kill cat (and dog!) shelter in Ellicott City. Each week we will feature a cat that needs a home. If you happen to pick up one of these lovelies, post a picture and let us know! Visit the Cat of the Week blog to see which cats have been adopted and which are still looking for a home.

Eric, you can visit smallmiraclesrescue.org to learn more about the shelter, our adoption process, fees, adoption hours and directions.
The fee for pups is $300, payable by cash or check. Adoption fees cover the cost of care and veterinary services. All adoptable animals have received a veterinary exam, spay/neuter surgery, distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine if age appropriate, preventative stool check, de-wormer and flea prevention medication. Dogs also receive a heartworm test, Lyme disease test and Bordatella vaccine.
We are open tonight (Thursday) from 5-8 p.m., Friday from 11-3 and 5-8 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m.
We don't accept holds, and hopefully this puppy will find a home soon, so I suggest coming in to meet him ASAP. You can get a jump start on the process by filling out our application and bringing it with you:

Any idea what breed the father was? Wondering how big this puppy will grow to be.
