Police Arrest Ten in Second Solicitation Sting of 2012

Howard County Police continue to target the Route 1 corridor in Laurel, as complaints about prostitution come from citizens.

 

 

The Howard County Police Department announced Tuesday that 10 men were arrested in a reverse prostitution sting along the Route 1 corridor in Laurel on Friday.

Undercover female officers worked in areas where citizens have complained about prostitution, and arrested 10 men who approached them and offered money for sex, according to a statement from the department.

This is the second reverse prostitution sting of 2012. Officers arrested eight men for soliciting prostitution in May.

The following men were arrested and face charges for soliciting prostitution:

Miguel Barbosa-Palacios, 37, of Riverdale
Preston Harrison McGriff, 38, of Laurel
Jose Quintanilla-Rivera, 38, of Laurel
William Howard Maisel, 46, of Kensington
Vincent Carvel Moore, 53, of Jessup
Ashton Nicholas Penny, 20, of Gwynn Oak
Victor Manuel Mendez, 24, of Riverdale
Steven Albert Bartimo, 37, of Laurel
William Hezekiah Davis, 47 of King George, VA
Eugene Anthony Burgess, 39, of Glen Burnie
