Two Dead in Murder-Suicide in Laurel

A man and women were found dead in their apartment on Sunday, authorities said.

Two people are dead after a murder-suicide that occurred in Laurel over the weekend, according to Prince George’s County police.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. Sunday in an apartment complex along the 11200 block of Basswood Terrace. Police said they responded to calls of a reported shooting. When police entered the apartment, they found Aeris Lashay Beard, 19, and Adam Clayton Owsley, of the same residence, suffering from gunshot wounds. Police said both persons were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, Beard and Owsley were involved in an “on-again-off again relationship” and shared an infant son, who was not in the apartment at the time.

The medical examiner’s report stated that Owsley shot Beard before turning the gun on himself, said Cpl. Henry Tippett, a police spokesman.

So young and ignorant of the big picture. They probably could have lived long productive lives without each other. Poor baby...no parents!

I work at an organization whose goal is to stop domestic violence. We see so much hurt and pain each day. The abusers never think about the children. These young people get so caught up in "I can't live without you" so I'll kill myself and you if you don't come back to me. Never thinking about the children that are left behind or traumatized by the adults action. Although we offer wrap-around services, we still lose women and children through the cracks because of funding. I ask everyone to pray for these two lost souls, especially the baby. Please support your local agencies that deal with inhumanity everyday by volunteering or donations. Have a Blessed Day.

They should've thought twice before this happened.
They left a young one behind with no parents,If they couldn't handle the realtionship then why do this..
