More doctors are headed to Laurel Regional Hospital as part of a partnership with the University of Maryland Medical System.
Dimensions Healthcare, owner of Laurel Regional, and UMM have entered into an agreement to provide more doctors to the facility effective this month, reports The Gazette. The agreement will include the Prince George’s Hospital Center in Cheverly as well as the Bowie Health Campus, which are both owned by Dimensions.
Laurel Regional has already seen an increase in doctors during busier shifts at the hospital and plans to hire additional doctors, according to The Gazette.
Doctors at the hospital told The Gazette the changes haven’t been too abrupt.
“Thus far changes seem very positive,” Dr. Perry Weisman told The Gazette. “What the future holds, that remains to be seen.”
