MACS Recognizes Nancy Bond for Volunteer Leadership

Highland resident Nancy Bond has been honored by the Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS) for her leadership and service to The Arc of Howard County.  Bond recently received the 2014 MACS Volunteer Recognition Award at the MACS annual meeting in Grasonville, MD.

MACS is a private nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening agencies to better support people with developmental disabilities and their families in their own communities.

Bond, who was presented The Arc of Howard County Volunteer of the Year Award in 2013, was the first Silent Auction Chair for The Arc’s signature event, the Chocolate Ball, and served in that capacity for three years. She has chaired another fundraiser, Wines & Steins, and has managed the annual event since its inception four years ago.  She is a donor to the Silver Arc Legacy Fund and has been a sponsor for every bowling event held by The Arc.
