As 2013 draws to a close, many people are hoping for change in the new year.
Change Maryland describes itself as a non-partisan grassroots citizen-activist organization and is made up of more than “70,000 fed-up Democrats, Independents, and Republicans from every corner of the state,” according to their blog.
The organization details its progress—including adding 40,000 members—this past year in the blog post: Best of Change Maryland - 2013.
“We’ve also been working non-stop throughout 2013 to continue raising awareness of the issues our state faces and the economic decline that the last seven years of misguided policies have given us.”
The blog breaks down what the organization did month by month, including hosting a business summit and reaching a milestone on Facebook by surpassing the number of followers Gov. Martin O’Malley has on his page.
