Historic Whodunit: Chapter II

  • Where:  Riversdale House Museum, 4811 Riverdale Rd, Riverdale

  • Description:  Presentation touches upon foul play in 1812 when British Minister, Augustus Foster, paid a call on the Calverts.

"Skywatchers of Africa" Planetarium Program

  • When:  Friday, Feb. 8, 7:30 p.m.
  • Description:   The Howard B. Owens Science Center will host a planetarium program for parents, students, and community members.

Journey to Discovering your Roots

  • When:  Saturday, Feb. 9, 1 p.m.
  • Description:  Local Genealogist, Violetta Sharps Jones shares techniques, resources and displays her family's journey to Lakeland, MD.

Greenbelt Museum historic house tours

  • Where:  10 Crescent Rd, Greenbelt
  • When:  Sunday, Feb. 10, 1 p.m.
  • Description:  The Greenbelt Museum's historic house is open for tours.  The house is filled with furniture and art from the period of 1936-52, representing the meager lifestyles of Depression-era residencies of Greenbelt.

DC GlassWorks and Sculpture Studios Winter Open House

  • Where:   DC Glassworks and Sculpture Studios, 5346 46th Ave, Hyattsville
  • When:  Saturday, Feb. 9, 3 p.m.
  • Description:  DC GlassWorks and Sculpture Studios Winter Open House.  Includes food, beer, glass blowing presentations and more.

KarmaFest Lecture Series & Holistic Expo

  • Where:  Patuxent River 4-H Center, 18405 Queen Anne Rd, Upper Marlboro

  • Description:  KarmaFest Winter Indoor lecture Series includes workshops, yoga, meditation, lectures and more.
