Kringle Kaboose

  • Where:  Bowie Railroad Museum, 8614 Chestnut Ave, Bowie
  • When:   Friday, Dec. 28, 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon
  • Description:  Children ages 1-10 will enjoy stories and holiday fun at the railroad.
  • Cost: Free

 

Designer Bag Sale

  • Where: 1350 Blair Dr, Odenton
  • When: Saturday, December 29, 11 a.m.
  • Description:   Fleabee’s Attic designer bag sale.  A percentage of the proceeds will be donated toward the construction of Kingdom Christian Academy.
  • Cost: Free

 

Free Movie Night - "The Future of Food"

  • Where:  4807 42nd Pl, Hyattsville
  • When:  Saturday, Dec. 29, 6:30 p.m.
  • Description:  A free showing of a documentary that investigates un-labeled, patented and genetically engineered foods.
  • Cost: Free

 

Winter Festival of Lights

  • Where: 301 Watkins Park Dr, Rt 193 and 214, Upper Marlboro
  • When: Friday, Nov. 23 – Tuesday, Jan. 1, 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. daily.
  • Description:  26th annual drive-through light display.
  • Cost:  $5/cars and vans, $15/mini-buses and limos, $25/buses, $10/multi-visit passes for cars and vans. The festival is FREE on December 25.

 

Holidays in the Heritage Area

  • Where: 4310 Gallatin Street, Hyattsville
  • When: Saturday, Nov. 24 – Saturday, Jan. 12
  • Description:  75 different holiday related programs within 85 square miles of Anacostia Trails Heritage area.
  • Cost: Free
