Monday Roundup: Laurel-Beltsville Senior Center Edition

Before Hurricane Irene swept through the region, state and local officials cut the ribbon on the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center.

State and local officials cut the ribbon at the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center on Friday on Contee Road.

During the ceremony, seniors crowed into the only standalone senior activity center in Prince George's County. The center is a one-story building that has 23,500 squre feet of usable space and is open Mondays-Thursdays: 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Fridays: 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturdays: 8 a.m.-2 p.m., and Sundays: Closed.
