Patch Picks: Easter Brunch

Stay local or drive west to Frederick or head to D.C. for brunch with the family.

The  located in the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Columbia is inviting the Easter bunny and your family to an Easter Brunch. For $31.95 adults and $14.95 for children ages 5-10, patrons will feast on a variety of options beginning at 11 a.m. Start your meal with made to order omelets or other breakfast favorites or simply enjoy the sampling of chef’s offerings featuring items such as top round of beef, leg of lamb, roasted honey ham and broiled tilapia. Whole poached salmon and various salads and fruits are available for those desiring lighter fare. Desserts and beverages are included in the price. Please call 410-730-3900 for reservations.

 in Ellicott City wants you and your friends to have an Easter brunch to remember. Buffet includes prime rib, chicken français, vegetable lasagna, shrimp and salmon newburg, smoked salmon, an omelet station and frittata Florentine. Be sure to save room for desserts such as white chocolate & raspberry torte, dark side of the moon, seasonal cheesecakes and French apple pie.  in Columbia has been voted Howard County’s finest dining for more than twenty years. This Easter, they invite you to brunch or dinner. Patrons will enjoy this 1890’s mansion as they feast on a selection of favorites. From 11 a.m. through 2 p.m., and a fixed price of $35, you’ll enjoy selections from all three courses with favorites such as roasted sweet potato soup and lobster quiche. Or come for dinner from 3 p.m. through 7 p.m. and pay $45 for a three-course meal featuring eggplant and pine nut fritters and crusted filet mignon. A children’s menu is available and seating is limited.

Try Some Place New

Voted one of Frederick’s best new restaurants, Acacia is located in historic downtown Frederick. According to their website, “Acacia emphasizes fresh, natural foods, prepared on site using whole grains and organic products whenever possible locally. In addition, it has a wide selection of fresh food prepared with the best fresh local or nationwide seasonal and organic ingredients.” Easter brunch is a perfect time to give them a try. For $27, adults can feast on a two-course meal which includes selections like mussels and fettuccini Chesapeake. For $33, add a dessert. Kids 12 and under are only $12. 701 Restaurant, on Pennsylvania Avenue in our nation’s capital, is celebrating Easter all day! Whether you go for brunch or dinner, you’ll enjoy the smooth sounds of live jazz as you feast on a delicious meal.  For $45, adults will enjoy a three-course meal. Brunch selections include shrimp and grits or grilled asparagus as your appetizer and bourbon brined pork steak or the spring vegetable, shrimp & farm cheese omelet for brunch. Children 12 and under are $20 and valet parking is available. Reservations are available at OpenTable.
