South Laurel Residents Join Neighborhood Watch Walk

Prince George's County Police hold neighborhood walk in Snow Hill Estates.

South Laurel residents in the Snowhill Estates neighborhood took to the streets yesterday in support of the Neighborhood Watch Walk.

Prince George's County Police have been rolling out neighborhood walks in communities across the county as a tool to raise visibility in communities and cut back on crime.

Cpl. Gerald Knight of Prince George's County Police Department District 6 said the purpose of the walk is to train residents to be proactive, empower them and be the eyes and ears of the neighborhood.  The program has been in action for the last 18 months.
