'Super Spring Saturday' Promotes Community in Prince George's County

This weekend the county will be hosting a number of events to help beautify the community from Christmas in April, a mulch giveaway and spring cleanup.

Prince George's County residents, government leaders and business owners will be coming together Saturday to help beautify the community.

According to County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III's office, "Super Spring Saturday" promotes volunteerism and neighborhood beautification.

The county is combining three events—Christmas in April, the bi-annual "Clean Up, Green Up" event and a free mulch giveaway—this Saturday.

“I encourage all Prince Georgians to save the date of April 27, 2013, and join us as we volunteer together to assist our most needy homeowners and enhance our environment in Prince George’s County," said Prince George’s County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III. "Additionally, we also want to help promote the 15th Annual Maryland Day at the University of Maryland, College Park and encourage residents to attend this campuswide open house of one of the  county’s greatest assets.”
