Maryland Paranormal Society Takes On Ghosts of Snow Hill Manor

What do you do if you're the supervisor of a manor home dating back to the 18th century that is plagued by supernatural activity?

The Greater Maryland Paranormal Society, a not-for-pronift paranormal investigation group, took to Snow Hill Manor in South Laurel on Friday to investigate claims by staff at the manor that the home is ripe with supernatural activity. Armed with high-tech electro magnetic gear that detects energy signatures of paranormal activity, the group set up shop in the home from late Friday into early Saturday.

Students Fight To Save School's Athletics Program

After learning that middle school athletic programs for the upcoming school year, students at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School in Laurel devised an innovative recycling plan to help save the the program.

Calling themselves the West Laurel Sports Brigade has 10 collection sites in Laurel, including St. Vincent Pallotti High School, Bond Mill Elementary School and the West Laurel Pool, according to The Gazette. After two weeks, they have already raised $20.

Lower Fares For Connect-A-Ride

Lower bus fares are underway for the Connect-A-Ride bus services, according to reports.

The bus serves Prince George's County, Howard County, Laurel, and Anne Arundel County. On July 1, fares were being reduced from 50 centers to $1.50.

But as the the Central Maryland Regional Transit gives, which opperates the  system, gives, it can also take. Fare transfers have been eliminated and monthly passed have been increase by $30, according to The Laurel Leader. On July 5, the F Route, was eliminated by the CMRT. The route served communities in North Laurel and transported passengers to the National Security Agency in Anne Arundel County.
