Everyone’s favorite July holiday is just around the corner—no, it’s not the Fourth of July. It’s Free Slurpee Day.
Participating 7-Eleven stores will be serving up small Slurpees at no cost from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 11.

The small Slurpee is nearly twice the size of the traditional giveaway drink—in past years, 7-Eleven handed out free Slurpees in 7.11 ounce cups, according to USA Today.
Free Slurpee Day commemorates 7-Eleven’s unofficial birthday (the convenience store opened in 1927) and the 47th anniversary of the first Slurpee.

This year, 7-Eleven is encouraging customers to learn the Slurpee Dance and upload a video of their rendition on a social media site. Dancing at the store is not required to obtain a free Slurpee.
Be sure to call your local 7-Eleven to confirm it’s celebrating the holiday.
