Indian Market Packed With Variety

Eastern Bazaar Supermarket is a spacious store filled with an array of Indian food. Located in a back side of a Baltimore Avenue strip shopping center, it’s a tricky entrance because you can only get there from Route 1 North.

Up and down the aisles you can find a nifty arrangement of rice, flour and spices to make a splendid Indian meal. Shopping is easy and enjoyable due to the wide, uncluttered aisles and easy to reach shelf items. Every try Thick Poha or Red kidney Beans Curry? If you visit ask an employee - or the owner if he's in - to give you a few tips on how to cook them. 

In the back of the store there are coolers and large bins with packaged vegetables and prepared meals. One popular item that draws shoppers is the fresh curry leaves. Their pricey but you only need a few for many Indian recipes.

One of the enticing features of Eastern is its employees who are extremely helpful in suggesting ways to use their chutneys, jarred pickles or ready-made sauces. They also sell unique items such as spiny melon, long squash and other food items. They have convenient shopping hours and are open until 8:30 p.m. on weekdays.
