Speak Out: Will You Be Taking Your Child to Work Thursday?

It's Take Your Child to Work Day on Thursday.

It's an annual tradition, but with offices changing their dynamics and many folks working from home, Take Your Child to Work Day may be a little more complicated than it was in the past.

Prince George's County Public Schools will be observing “Take Our Daughters And Sons To Work Day” on Thursday, April 25.

“This national event provides an opportunity for students to experience the world of work first hand,” said Dr. Alvin L. Crawley, Interim Superintendent of Schools. “Students can see how their academic work translates into marketable job skills, and they might even be inspired to pursue a career path they hadn’t considered.”

PGCPS students set to follow their parents or guardians to work must follow their school's guidelines to ensure they receive an excused absence. To view the guidelines, visit the PGCPS “Take Your Child to Work Day” webpage.
