Fallen PGPD Officer Adrian Morris to be Honored

Morris, who was from Laurel, will be honored with a memorial bike ride.

Law Enforcement United will honor a fallen county police officer in a memorial bike ride along the Mid-Atlantic region Sunday.

According to the county's police department, the members of Law Enforcement United get together ever year for a bike ride to honor the service and sacrifice of fallen officers and their families.

The group will stop by the Prince George’s County Police Department’s District II station at 9 a.m. to honor POFC Adrian Morris who lost his life in the line of duty in August 2012.

Morris, 23, of Laurel, and his partner, Ofc. Michael Risher, were attempting to capture two men believed involved in stealing purses from gas stations around Laurel. Risher was injured, but survived.

He was only with the force for two and a half years, but had been known to the District 6 officers since he was 15.
