Winter Storm May Affect Prince George's This Weekend

Forecasters aren't sure whether the county will see any significant snow—or just rain.

Prince George's County and much of the region could be in for another dose of winter weather this weekend, depending on how an approaching storm shapes up.

The National Weather Service warns that a system moving in from the southeast "will likely impact portions of the Mid-Atlantic Saturday and Saturday night."

"At this stage, rain or snow is possible depending on the storm track," it adds.

The latest forecast for the county calls for a mix of rain and snow starting Saturday morning, then switching over to just rain by early afternoon.

Though the NWS expects minimal accumulation over the course of the day, AccuWeather puts potential snowfall totals for the Baltimore-Washington corridor in the 1-3 inch range.
