Wisdom Wednesdays: "Do You Remember Job?"

"Do You Remember Job?"

Let me just start off my telling you that God has Yet to reveal everything He has in store for you.  Keep holding on to His promises.  Giving up is not an option. Do you remember how faithful Job was even when his friends were encouraging him to give up?  Can't remember? No worries go back and read all of Job (yes the entire book).  You will see where Job was doing well, and then lost everything.  You will see where his friends were giving him bad advice.  You will see where Job repents in Job 42:6, "Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes."  Hey wait a minute.  Did Job want to give up; did he himself doubt and question God? Hmm..., remember even the strongest of Christians will have challenges and questions for God.

Keep pressing God. Give God a chance to be God! Look at what He did for Job in Job 42: 12, "Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys."  Wow, look at God!  If He did it for Job, He will do it for you, me and everyone else who continue to hold on to God's promises. When all heck breaks loose (you thought I was going to say something else didn't you -smile) all around you, take a deep breath and remember how Job was blessed abundantly because of his obedience to God.
