"No Greater Love Than Jesus"

Smokie Norful's words are so powerful, "... You may look at me from the outside and think I got here on my own, but there's no way you could ever know how much grace and mercy I've been shown, if you look into my eyes you see life has tried to get the best of me, but I know the giver of life personally, He's the reason that I sing ... His name is Jesus and He loves me, and I know this cause He died for me, and He rescued me, there's No Greater Love in the World - His name is Jesus!"  I could really end right there, but I want to share just a little bit more with you.

Today marks the first full week of my 40-Day Surrender Fast.  Hmm... I did not miss the sweets and I have been diligent regarding the other areas of my Fast. How do I know that this Fast will be successful?  How do I know that my ending will be so much greater than my beginning?  Well, I truly believe that there is No Greater Love Than Jesus. Like Paul in Philippians 4:11, 13, I remind myself, "11Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  Wow, not some things, but ALL things.  I believe this 40-Day Fast is part of my "all things".

If you are like me, you need to reflect upon God's love - you know that unconditional, right-on-time-love.  The love that brings you out of those "cloudy days", or the sweet whisper that continues to encourage you when you just want to give up -- that my friend is No Greater Love Than Jesus!

Now that's a word!
