An argument between two Prince George’s County men escalated to one dying from gunshot wounds, and the quick arrest of the other as the suspected killer.
Nathaniel Jamar Johnson, 26, of the 5500 block of Tilden Road in Bladensburg, was arrested early Friday morning at his home, charged with killing Larry Nathaniel Williams, 22, of Eldridge Street in Hyattsville.
Bladensburg Police were called about 9 p.m. Wednesday to the 5000 block of 57th Avenue for a report of gunshots in the area. Officers found Williams suffering from gunshot wounds, lying in a parking lot. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries several hours later.
Prince George’s County Police say the preliminary investigation suggests the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument.
Johnson is currently in custody at the Department of Corrections, being held without bond.
A $25,000 reward is being offered for leads that can generate an arrest in the case. Police did not say Friday what led them to Johnson.
