Police were called to a Laurel Walmart after a customer pointed what looked like a machine gun at an employee because he could not return items without a receipt.

Authorities said it was really a BB gun.

Shahzad M. Iqbal, 41, has been charged with attempted robbery, attempted first-degree assault and possession of a controlled substance, reports WJZ TV

According to the TV station, a suspect tried to return two used items of electronics without a receipt and was refused.

He then reportedly took out the gun, pointed it at the employee and demanded that money be returned to him before fleeing empty-handed.

Officers reportedly arrested him outside the store.
