Car Catches Fire Along I-95

No injuries reported in fire near North Laurel exit.

A car erupted into flames this morning along I-95 near the North Laurel exit, according to Maryland State Police.

The incident happened shortly after 9:30 a.m. when a 2009 black Chevy traveling southbound near exit 35 burst into flames. Police said the vehicle had stopped along the right shoulder lane when it caught fire. No injuries were reported and police said the cause appeared to be mechanical.
