Century High School Evacuated Tuesday After Threatening Graffiti Found

This is another in a series of graffiti threats written on school walls in the Eldersburg area.

Century High School in Sykesville was evacuated Tuesday afternoon after threatening graffiti was written on a bathroom wall, according to a Baltimore Sun article.

The Sun reported that threatening graffiti was also found on a bathroom wall at Sykesville Middle School after students were dismissed Monday. The building was checked, according to the Sun, and deemed safe.

Liberty High School in Eldersburg has been the target of similar threats in recent weeks. As previously reported on Patch, Liberty was evacuated twice in the past several weeks for bomb threats written on a wall at the school.

School Superintendent Stephen Guthrie previously told Patch, "The disruption these threats have on the entire school community cannot be understated."

Stupid is as stupid does. Last week Liberty, where will stupid strike next? There are to many GREAT kids in these schools to have their day interrupted like this. Lets hope one of these kids comes forward and points out stupid.

This happened a lot when I was in school way back in the 80s, so this isn't a new thing. After a week of getting out of class in the cold, other students starting trying to find out who it was so they could turn them in. They were sick of the disruptions and being in the cold, standing in the parking lot for an hour and out of class, they very much wanted the person caught. And they were, a student turned them in. It will happen.
