Connecticut Men Arrested in Attempted Laurel Robbery

The men were located in Virginia after a bank robbery there, Laurel police said.

 

Two Connecticut men have been arrested and charged in an attempted bank robbery at the Laurel PNC bank last week, according to Laurel Police.

Kevin W. Bolden, 46, of New Haven, CT, and Moneek Grant, 34, also of New Haven, CT, were both charged with armed robbery earlier this week, authorities said.

According to police, the men were arrested after allegedly robbing a bank in Gainesville, VA. Laurel police detectives said they were notified about the arrest of the two men there and went to Virginia to interview the two suspects, who allegedly confessed to the attempted Laurel robbery.

Police said the two suspects were March 31 in Laurel. According to police, the incident happened along the 300 block of Main St. shortly before 11 a.m. that day when a male suspect entered the  and gave a teller a note demanding money.

The subject told the teller that he had a gun, but fled the scene without money after the teller confronted him, police said.
