Accused Laurel Mall Robber Nabbed After Dropping Wallet at Scene

Laurel Police have charged a man with theft after an attempt to steal linens from the Burlington Coat Factory store in Laurel Mall in which a suspect dropped his wallet while fleeing the scene.

 The incident happened Feb. 16 along the 14700 block of Baltimore Avenue.  According to police, the suspect attempted to leave the store with stolen linens but dropped the linens and his wallet during his retreat.  Police found his wallet along with his address and charged the man with theft.

Wallet was stolen from a store counter after the victim left it by mistake. A black female, 5’05”, 220 lbs was seen on store video removing the wallet and leaving the store.
