Laurel Man Injured in Maryland City Stabbing

The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

A man received non-life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed in Maryland early Saturday morning. 

Officers responded to the intersection of Laurel Fort Meade Road and Russet Green West at 2 a.m. on Aug. 10, according to a statement from police. The victim, a 39-year-old Laurel man, told police that he had been walking down the street when he was accosted by an intoxicated man.

The victim told investigators the man yelled at him and stabbed him in the stomach three times. The victim was then able to fight off his attacker, police said.

He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Baltimore Washington Medical Center.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the attacker.

The suspect is described as a 5’9, 200 lb. Hispanic male between 30 and 40 years of age. He was reportedly wearing a black shirt and blue jeans at the time.
