Laurel Man Shot With Nail Gun

Dispute leads to man being shot by co-worker.

A Laurel man was rushed to the hospital Monday after being shot with a nail gun by a co-worker, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The incident happened at a construction site in Edge Water along the 4200 block of Sweet Leaf Lane Monday morning, police said. Upon arrival at the scene, police found a 34-year-old Laurel man shot in the upper body with a nail gun while he was framing a house.

The man was sent via helicopter to a hospital in Baltimore with possible life threatening injuries. Police initially believed the incident was an accident but discovered the man was shot after an argument with a co-worker.

Police arrested a 41-year old Hyattsville man and charged him with first-degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment.
