Laurel Police Blotter: Armed Gas Station Robber Nabs Loot, Cigarettes
The following arrest information was supplied by the Laurel Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Laurel Police continue to investigate an armed robbery at the Crown Gas Station.
The incident happened along the 14900 block of Baltimore Avenue on Aug. 8. According to police, a man entered the station displaying a handgun and demanded money and cigarettes.
Police said the suspect fled the station with money and 10 boxes of Newport cigarettes. No injuries were reported, according to police.

The incident happened along the 13800 block of Vanderbilt Way. Police are investigation 14 vehicles that were broken into on Vanderbilt Way, Greenstable Gate Lane, Chadsworth Lane and Clarkwood Lane all the streets are in the same area. According to police, an Apple iPod, credit cards, garmin GPS system, gym bag, CDs, work bag, speakers, amplifier, television, and an unknown brand GPS system, DVD Player and a Roadside emergency kit were all stolen.

Jewelry was stolen from a home by a suspected relative.

Groceries were stolen from Safeway by a black male 50 to 60 years of age. The suspect entered a Ford Thunderbird; gray in color operated by a white male in his 60’s and fled the area.
