Laurel Police Blotter: Men Sought in Subway, Bank of America Robberies
The following arrest information was supplied by the Laurel Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Laurel Police continue to search for two men responsible for a spat of robberies in two different incidents last week.
According to police, the first incident happened Aug. 2 along the 7400 block of Van Dusen Road. Police responded to a call of an armed robbery at the Subway Store. The suspect was wearing gloves and displayed what the employee believed was a black gun, and demanded money. He then jumped the counter and went behind the counter to take the money.
Police did not say how the man fled the scene or if anyone in the store was injured.

The second incident happened along Aug. 4 along the 9600 block Fort Meade Road. Laurel police responded to an armed robbery at the Bank of America ATM machine. According to police, the victim stepped out of his vehicle to have better access to the ATM machine when he was approached by a man who was holding a knife and demanded the victim’s money and keys to his car. The victim pushed the suspect and began yelling for help at which time the suspect fled towards Laurel Plaza. The victim was not injured.

Laurel Police responded to a call for a vandalized front door. When Police arrived, they found damage and later found a dirt smudge that indicated that someone kicked the door to gain entry. Nothing was stolen from residence.
