Laurel Police Search for Female Thief

Here's the Laurel police blotter for May 15 - 25.

Laurel Police are looking for a woman believed to have stolen money from a man’s wallet.

The incident happened May 23 along the 14600 block of Laurel Bowie Road.  According to police, money was stolen from a man who said he was sitting in his car when a heavyset female approached and asked for a dollar. When he opened his wallet, the female grabbed the money and ran to a black sports utility vehicle and drove away.

A Coach wallet was stolen from a parked car. The wallet contained a driver’s license, credit cards and U. S. currency.

Money was stolen from an employee’s wallet at a restaurant after she left her purse unattended in a restroom.

A white Schwinn hybrid bicycle with green lettering was stolen from the front of the residence.

Four tires and rims were stolen off a parked Honda Civic.

14200 block Baltimore Avenue     

A wallet was stolen from an employee's work area inside a business. Inside the wallet was a military ID card, driver’s license, credit card, debit card, insurance card and U.S. currency.

15000 block Courtland Place     

An entire heating/air conditioning unit was stolen from the outside of a townhouse.

 05/25/11   

300 Block Domer Avenue      

A 39-year-old Beltsville man was arrested and charged with theft after he was apprehended while shoplifting at CVS.
