Police Blotter: Laurel Police Search For Skateboard Attackers

Police search for suspects who attacked man with skateboard, Domino's Pizza robbers in this week's police blotter. The following arrest information was supplied by the Laurel Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction

Laurel Police continue to search for five suspects believed to be responsible for attacking and robbing a man with a skateboard.

The incident happened along the 9100 block of Elaine Court July 10. According to police, a 28-year-old Springfield man reported that he was assaulted by a group of four men and a female. One of the men struck the victim over the head with a skateboard and then took the man’s wallet and flowers. The suspect then smashed windows on four vehicles before fleeing on foot towards Bowie Road and Lafayette Avenue.

Laurel Police are looking for leads in the armed robbery of a Domino’s Pizza on July 11.

According to police, the incident happened along the 7700 block of Old Sandy Spring Road. Two men entered the restaurant and announced the robbery while one of the suspects held a handgun. After obtaining a small amount of money the suspects fled on foot towards Old Sandy Spring Road.

According to police, no one was injured. Both suspects are black males and both dressed in black clothing with mask. Photos of the suspects committing the robbery were captured on video and now in police custody for investigation and evidence.

9300 Block Palmer Place       

A Sony CD player, I-Phone, and 200 Compact discs were stolen from a parked car.

Unit Block Avondale Street      

Garmin GPS was stolen from a parked car.

300 Block Montgomery Street     

Two Coach purses, U.S. currency and credit cards were stolen from a parked SUV truck.

900 Block Washington Boulevard    

Credit card was stolen from a vehicle while at a car wash.

 7900 Block Sandy Spring Road     

Catalytic converter was stolen from a van. The converter was cut and removed from the vehicle.  

 600 Block Main Street        

Tanning lotion was stolen from Tropical Tan by a white female and three white males.

 07/10/11   

400 Block Laurel Avenue       

Schwinn bicycle, blue in color, Raleigh bicycle, blue in color and a Specialized 27 speed bicycle, gray in color were all stolen from the front porch of a house, all bicycles were chained together.

07/11/11   

300 Block Montgomery Street      

Coins stolen from a parked SUV truck.

9400 Block Nicklaus Lane       

Two packages dropped off by UPS were stolen from the front of a residence. Items taken were clothing and a baby monitor.

14700 Block Baltimore Avenue      

Clothing stolen from Macy’s Department Store by two black females and two black males who fled the area in a 4-door blue Buick with Maryland tags.
