Man Robbed, Assaulted in Maryland City; One Suspect at Large
Andrew Burks, 29, of Laurel was charged in the incident, which happened early Wednesday near Whiskey Bottom Road.
One suspect is in custody and another is at large after an early morning robbery in Maryland City, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Around 12:12 a.m. Wednesday, a person approached an AACPD officer near Whiskey Bottom Road and Yellow Flower Road to report that a man was being assaulted, police said.
The officer soon located the 31-year-old victim, who was allegedly under attack from Andrew Burks, 29, of Laurel. Police said that Burks had robbed the man of his personal property before assaulting him.

Burks was arrested at the scene and later charged with robbery, second degree assault, and theft.
Authorities were unable to locate a second suspect seen fleeing from the incident. Laurel and U.S. Park police joined AACPD officers in a canvass of the area.

The unknown assailant is described as a white male with a medium build who was wearing an orange Orioles shirt, an orange and black Orioles hat, and khaki shorts at the time of the incident.
The victim refused medical treatment, police said.
