Man Robbed at Red Crown Inn

The victim was allegedly attacked in parking lot of the Maryland City hotel.

Anne Arundel County Police are investigating the assault and robbery of a man in the parking lot of Red Crown Inn in Maryland City Monday night.

According to police, the incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. in the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road.

When officers arrived they spoke with the victim, a 50-year-old male, who reported that after he exited his vehicle in the hotel parking lot, he walked to the side entrance of the hotel and that was where a man approached him and demanded money.

The suspect allegedly hit the victim with an unknown object, according to police. The suspect then took the victim’s briefcase and fled the area on foot, police said.

Several officers searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim refused medical treatment at the scene, according to police.
