Men Caught Boosting Motorcycle Found Hiding Under Truck: Laurel Crime
Laurel Police also arrested a man for leaving his 6-year-old and 1-year-old unattended at home.
The following is a rundown of notable arrests and police responses in the City of Laurel from Aug. 3-11, 2013. Incident details from the Laurel Police Department are listed where available. Arrests do not necessarily indicate convictions.

ARREST | 807 Karen Ct: Officers made contact with a juvenile who was discovered to have an active writ (juvenile warrant). The juvenile was arrested.
ARRESTS | 116 Washington Blvd. (Sportsman's Pub): Officers responded to the Sportsmans Pub for a fight in progress. Officers arrived and arrested two men, 39 and 38 years old.

DRUG ARREST | 14933 Baltimore Ave. (Laurel Station): Officers working part time made contact with a 31-year-old man in a vehicle in the parking lot. White was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
DRUG/DUI ARREST | 300 block of Montrose Ave.: Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver, a 64-year-old man, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Johnson was also charged with possession of cocaine.
DUI ARREST | Baltimore Ave./Mulberry St.: Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver, a 32-year-old man, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
DUI ARREST | Arbory Ct./North Arbory Way: Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver, a 21-year-old man, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
DRUG ARRESTS | 300 block of Main St.: Officers made contact with a vehicle occupied by 3 subjects. Drugs were recovered. Two 18-year-olds and a juvenile were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana.
Sunday, Aug. 4
ARREST | 100 block of Irving St.: Officers made contact with a 36-year-old man who was found to have an open warrant. He was placed under arrest.
ARREST | 14100 block of Corunna Ct.: Officers responded to an alarm call at a residence. When they arrived, they found a 6-year-old and a 1-year-old alone in the house. The father, a 47-year-old man, was later found and arrested for leaving the children unattended.
ARREST | 118 Washington Blvd. (Tastee Diner): Officers responded to a disturbance call. They found a 46-year-old woman on the property. She was found to have been banned there previously and was arrested for trespassing.
ARREST | 800 block of Eighth St.: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call. Witnesses stated they heard a female yelling for help inside an apartment and what sounded to be a male assaulting a female. Officers made contact with a 28-year-old man inside the apartment. The man fought officers when they attempted to place him under arrest. He was subdued and charged with domestic assault as well as assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
ARRESTS | 7800 block of Contee Rd.: Officers responded to an apartment complex for the report of a theft in progress. Witnesses described seeing males attempting to steal a motorcycle and put it in a truck. The subjects fled on foot when officers arrived. Officers set up a perimeter and began searching the parking garage floor by floor. Officers found two subjects hiding under a truck on the top floor. Witnesses confirmed that the men—20 and 21 years old—were the ones attempting to steal the motorcycle.
Monday, Aug. 5
ARRESTS | 600 block of Washington Blvd.: Officers responded for the report of a male and female loudly arguing on the sidewalk. When they arrived, both parties were involved in a heated argument. Officers asked both subjects to quiet down, and both parties refused. As a result of their actions, the 20-year-old woman and 21-year-old man were arrested.
Saturday, Aug. 10
ARREST | 300 block of Thomas Dr.: Officers received a call for a fight in progress. Once on scene officers had contact with and 18-year-old man. He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
Sunday, Aug. 11
DUI ARREST | 300 block of Ninth St.: Officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver, a 23-year-old man, was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.
ARREST | 8300 block of Ashford Blvd: Officers responded for the call of a disorderly female. Officers made contact with a 23-year-old woman who was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, failure to obey a lawful order, and resisting arrest.
