North Laurel Man Arrested After Air Conditioner Destruction

Sunday, March 6

At 10:35 a.m., a witness reported seeing someone cutting copper from air conditioning units at a residence on the 8200 block of Patuxent Range Road. Officers arrested the suspect, who they say had cutting tools in his possession. Bernard L. Brown, 52, of 9228 Whiskey Bottom Road in Laurel, was charged with second- and fourth-degree burglary, two counts of malicious destruction of property and attempted theft.

Between 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., an unknown number of suspects entered a residence on the 9500 block of Red Apple Lane, stole items and vandalized the residence. Police reported no signs of forced entry.

Saturday, March 5

At 3:26 p.m., a blue Lincoln Navigator was reported stolen from a residence on the 9300 block of Canterbury Riding.

Friday, March 4

At 10:02 p.m., a 1996 Freightliner Tractor with Maryland tags 658-F52 was reported stolen from a business on the 9500 block of Gerwig Lane.

At 11:12 a.m., a silver 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe was reported stolen from a unit on Alma Avenue.

Between Jan. 18 and March 4, a Mitsubishi with Maryland tags MMA367 was reported stolen from a residence on the 9100 block of Bursa Road.
