Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Maryland City

Police said the victim may have been under the influence of alcohol.

An unidentified man is dead after being hit by two cars near Route 198 and Old Annapolis Road, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

The victim was walking along the road and investigators said he may have been under the influence of alcohol, according to Lt. Michael Brothers, spokesperson for the department.

"We don't know at this point if he stepped off the curb, or fell off the curb [before he was hit]," said Brothers. Police do know that the victim was hit first by one car, before being hit by another vehicle. Both drivers stayed on the scene, according to Brothers.
