Pedestrian Struck by Car on Route 1

Pedestrian struck by vehicle along Route 1 and Route 198 during rush hour traffic.

A vehicle stuck an unidentified woman this afternoon during rush hour traffic along Route 1, according to Laurel Police.

The woman was struck while walking in the westbound lane along the Washington Boulevard and Talbott Avenue intersection close to 6 p.m. The vehicle involved in the accident stayed on the scene, according to police.

The pedestrian was not in the crosswalk when she was struck, according to police. She was taken to Prince George's County Hospital Center in Cheverly with non-life threatening injuries, according to paramedics.
