Police Arrest Teen's Attackers, Search For Group

The incident occurred on June 17.

Laurel Police have arrested a group of individuals accused of attacking a 16-year old and robbing him of his money and cell phone.

According to police, the incident happened June 17 along the 1000 block of Harrison Drive. The teen was punched, knocked to the ground and was robbed by six people who then fled the scene, according to police.

Laurel Police received a description of the suspects, and during a search of the area, located four them on the baseball field at Laurel High School. Two suspects attempted to flee on foot but were apprehended, and the other two were arrested as other officers approached. All the stolen property was recovered. All the defendants were taken to the Laurel Police Department and charges are pending.

Police Continue Search For Group of Attackers

Laurel Police are continuing to search for a large group of men who attacked a 28-year old man June 17.

According to police, the incident happened along the 14900 block of Bowie Road. The man was approached by a group of 10 to 15 males. Two of them attacked the victim with their hands and fist before taking his cell phone, wallet, tennis shoes and money. They all fled by foot in an unknown direction.

 An Apple i4 cell phone was stolen from a gym bag at the Community Center.

Two large flower pots, maroon in color, were stolen from the front of the residence.

A Sony 46-inch television, Sony 42-inch television, two Sony laptop computers, Sony home theater system and jewelry were stolen from an apartment.

7500 Block Woodbine Drive                         

Two Stihl concrete saws were stolen from a parked truck.

BURGLARIES

 06/17/11           

14200 Block Greenview Drive                    

Entry was gained through the garage door and a Trek Fuel EX7 bicycle was taken. The bicycle is silver in color.

 06/18/11           

100 Block Ninth Street                                 

Entry was gained through a window. Taken was a Proview HX276 27-inch flat screen television.
