Police Search for Main Street Grill Attackers

Patrons at the Main Street Sports Grill took a bar fight outside—literally—leaving one man in the hospital and Laurel police looking for his attackers.

The incident happened along the 500 block of Main Street June 3 when a man from Edgewater was dancing in the Grill and bumped into another and words were exchanged, according to witness reports to police.

The two took their disagreement outside. The victim who bumped into the other man was attacked by two men; he was struck and kicked in the face. When police arrived, they found the man unconscious and on the pavement at the rear of the restaurant. He was subsequently sent to the hospital for head injuries.

The suspects fled the area. They are described as two white males in their 20s, one with blond hair. Police are conducting interviews and the investigation is continuing. The victim was released from the trauma center and is still recovering.
