Police Search For Maryland City Purse Snatchers

Female victim knocked to the ground, according to police.

Anne Arundel County Police are searching for two men responsible for the strong arm robbery of a 57-year old woman during the weekend.

According to police, the incident happened along the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road just before midnight on Sunday. Police spoke to the female victim and several witnesses who said she was walking along the roadway when two male suspects approached her from behind, pushed her to the ground, snatched her purse and fled on foot toward Maryland City Plaza. The victim was transported to Laurel Regional Hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

Police searched the area but were unable to find the two suspects.
