Police to Release 'Key' Evidence in Edmond St. Clair Killing

St. Clair, a 2010 graduate of Laurel High School, was fatally stabbed on Feb. 16 at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore.

Authorities are set to release a "key piece of evidence" this week in their investigation into the fatal stabbing of a 2010 Laurel High School graduate, Maryland State Police announced Monday.

Edmond A. St. Clair, 21, of Severn was a junior majoring in biology at the University of Maryland, Eastern Shore when he was killed on Feb. 16 in a campus fight.

St. Clair and two other men—identified by The Baltimore Sun as his brother, Isaiah St. Clair, and friend, Tre Hardy—had reportedly been driving in a car that night when they stopped and got into a fight with several men in the street.

St. Clair was stabbed during the altercation and later pronounced dead. Family told The Sun that he was an honor roll student who ran track in high school and who aspired to become a surgeon.

State police are searching for three suspects in their late teens or early 20s. Officials said the MSP's Homicide Unit will release a photo on Wednesday of evidence recovered in their investigation with the hope of gaining information from members of the public.
