Report: Laurel Man Fatally Shot in Northwest DC

The shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. near the Farragut North Metro station, reports the Washington Times.

A Laurel man died after being shot Thursday morning near the Farragut North Metro Station in Washington, D.C., The Washington Times reports.

Metropolitan police identified the victim as 24-year-old Paul Aime Tanoh Danzo, according to the paper.

Danzo was reportedly shot in his car around 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of 17th Street NW. Police are searching for a black BMW with chrome wheels spotted near the shooting, the Times writes.

CBS DC reports that the shooting may have stemmed from an argument at a neighboring bar, where an event honoring former Syracuse University football player Donte Davis was taking place.

Several NFL players, including Evan Royster of the Washington Redskins, were reportedly in attendance earlier in the night.
