Police Investigate Maryland City Armed Robbery

A robbery occurred Monday night on Laurel Fort Meade Road.

 

Police are looking for a suspect that allegedly robbed a Maryland City business Monday night, Anne Arundel County Police reported.

Around 7:43 p.m., a man walked into the Royal International Market in the 3500 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road on Monday night, showed a handgun and robbed the clerk of an unknown amount of cash, police said. He then fled on foot toward Route 198.

The police did set up a perimeter and used K-9 units and aviation to locate the suspect, but did not find him.

The suspect is described as a thin, black man with facial hair. He was wearing a dark-colored suit, a white shirt, black tie and baseball hat, police said.
