Report: Uncle of Boston Marathon Suspects from Maryland

Ruslan Tsarni, who reportedly identified the suspects as his nephews, lives in Montgomery County.

FBI agents and Montgomery County police went to the Montgomery Village home of the uncle of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects Friday morning to talk to him about his nephews, NBC Washington reports.

Officials arrived shortly before 9:30 a.m. to the home of Ruslan Tsarni to talk with his family and look at the home, according to the report.

Tsarni has confirmed information about at least one of the suspects, according to the Associated Press.

The bomb suspects are said to be brothers, and Tsarni told AP the men lived together near Boston after traveling to the United States from Chechnya about a decade ago.

Tsarni told police that the second suspect is Tamerlan Tsarnaev, older brother of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who died in a gun battle with Boston-area police early Friday, according to the Associated Press.

In an interview with WBZ-Boston, Tsarni said word of his nephews' involvement was shocking.

"It absolutely shocked me, absolutely devastated me by this," he said. "Understanding, it's not comprehendible. It's not comprehendible in our family."

Neighbors tell NBC Washington Tsarni's family has lived in the Montgomery Village home for five to seven years. The family is pleasant and there have never been any problems in the home, according to the report.

"I feel like Boston is in my back yard," one neighbor told NBC's Today Show.

Police spokesperson Janelle Smith said Montgomery County police are assisting with any local information in the bombings investigation.

"[The federal authorities are] in our county, so we're assisting," she said.
